Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0.7 update out now, patch notes

As a bit of an unexpected surprise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons just received a new version 2.0.7 update.

Nintendo Switch 2 is just on the horizon, and this is what that patch is intended for. According to Nintendo, compatibility for multiplayer sessions between its two consoles will be improved with the update.

Improved the compatibility for multiplayer sessions between Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

Support for Animal Crossing: New Horizons mainly ended in November 2021 following the release of the Happy Home Paradise DLC. However, after that, the game did end up getting a number of different patches to fix bugs. Then in November 2022, Nintendo came out with another update in which it addressed various issues.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be purchased now on Nintendo Switch. It was confirmed last month that you’ll able to move your island over to the new console.
