Animal Crossing: New Horizons update announced, bug workaround

Posted on November 5, 2021 by in News, Switch

In response to significant issues being found in the latest update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo has announced that they are working to address the bugs in a future update. In addition, the issues are preventable, and Nintendo has also explained a suggested workaround for the bugs. No complete patch notes have been offered yet. Here are the details:

Patch notes coming soon. This update brings following:

  • Fixes an issue causing players who own the Happy Home Paradise DLC to experience gameplay bugs if they visit Resident Services and ask to remodel a resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open.
    • Workaround: We recommend players to not attempt to remodel an island resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open. As long as the airport gates are closed, you should not encounter these gameplay bugs when remodelling residents’ homes on your island. If you encounter these gameplay bugs, please end your play session, close the game and re-launch it. Your save file will not be affected.

As stated by Nintendo in the quote above, official patch notes are planned for when the update arrives on an unspecified date this month.
