Another unreleased Splatoon 2 mode shown off

A few weeks ago, modders and hackers managed to get a rudimentary version of an unreleased Splatoon 2 mode up and running. A second similar mode has been given the same treatment.

As shown below, we have a look at “Eight-Ball” – a mode Nintendo has not yet implemented in Splatoon 2. Two goals are placed on opposite sides of the map with an eight-ball appearing in the center of the stage. The objective is simple: push the ball towards the enemy’s goal by shooting at it with ink. If it reaches the goal platform, it’s considered a knockout.

It’s unclear if and when Nintendo will be adding Eight-Ball to Splatoon 2. We do at least know that the game will be supported with new content through the end of this year, so it’s possible that the mode will be available within the next few months.
