Apex Legends getting cross-progression
Cross-progression support is on the way to Apex Legends, EA and Respawn Entertainment confirmed today. It will be rolling out starting with Apex Legends: Ignite and “players will be phased in over a period of time in order to ensure stability for this anticipated feature.”
An in-game prompt will appear that lets players initiate the migration to bring together content and progression. Note that cross-progression data will be associated with an EA account. Those who do not log in during the migration period will have their account migrated automatically at a later date.
Unlocked Legends and inventory will be the same across platforms aside from platform exclusives, including gifted items. The P.A.T.H. Worth noting, the Legendary Skin is limited to Switch.
Crafting Materials, Legend Tokens, and Heirloom Shards are tied to the EA Account and are same balance across platforms. Apex Coins purchased and earned on Switch remain exclusive to that platform so they can’t be merged into one wallet as is the case on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. However, new non-exclusive content purchased on Switch is shared with all platforms – and vice versa.
As far as game progression goes, the challenges completed (rewards/BP), prize tracks, and XP are all good to go. However, ranked leaderboards are tied to each platform.
