So…this whole time I thought “Splatoon” was going to be the name of the game, but it’s not. Splatoon is actually a hot new snack that’s coming out in May! You gotta be squiddin’ me! Now you can have your squid and eat it too! Unless you’re a squid, then…maybe don’t because that’s weird and kinda creepy. Maybe just eat a quesadilla. Yeah… Now you can have your squid and eat it too unless you’re a squid then just eat a freakin’ quesadilla!

Crimson Smasher GUNHAMMER

??????Cropped

At Inti Creates, we have created a lot of really fun games over the years from the Mega Man Zero series to Azure Striker Gunvolt, and soon be added to the list, Mighty No. 9. However, deep within the hearts of the staff, from the most seasoned Inti Creates veterans to the newest of the new blood, a common desire is shared among them.

“Making this game has been something we always wanted to do since the day Inti Creates was formed nearly 19 years ago, ” International Affairs Coordinator Matt Papa said. “With the success that we had with Azure Striker GUNVOLT, this was the obvious next step for us to take. I mean seriously, who doesn’t love hammers?”

The developers have been working on the Crimson Smasher GUNHAMMER project off and on since the mid 1990s, but had to delay the project indefinitely after getting good games to work on that kept them busy. “We always had it in the back of our minds when we worked on other games that someday, when technology has caught up to the advanced nature of the game, we would finally be able to finish the game,” Matt added.

Final character designs for most characters are still being tweaked, but we decided to share the 100% completed design of the new hero GUNHAMMER with the world:

Now, we are very happy to report that Crimson Smasher GUNHAMMER will be available on the Game Gear, Lynx and Virtual Boy gaming systems.

You Are The Winner! Go You!

Valencia, Calif. – 04/01/2015— WayForward is pleased to announce its next original game: “You Are The Winner! Go You!”

The game puts players in the boots of Gunster Megaboom, a mercenary from the 37th century sent back in time to stop time-travelers from preventing the apocalypse. Gunster is a danger-loving weapons expert, with a soft spot for latte foam art, who plays by NO ONE’S rules!

“The rules you play by are something new for us,” explains WayForward’s founder, Voldi Way. “People love our original characters and animation, but let’s be honest – WayForward games aren’t for babies. And we need to tap into that lucrative baby market if we’re going to thrive another 25 years.”

Creative Director Matt Bozon agrees. “With this project, we wanted a game that EVERYONE could appreciate. So we did extensive focus testing, with participants ranging from age 2 to 104. The results were surprising. Some players couldn’t beat the bosses. Some couldn’t defeat enemies. Others couldn’t shoot. Or jump. Or move at all, really. One guy just hated pressing buttons. We’ve solved ALL of that.”

The game was developed using WayForward’s innovative new ‘PlayForMe’ technology, which enables gamers of literally any age and skill level to succeed. PlayForMe automatically collects coins, avoids obstacles, and defeats enemies and bosses before they ever get close.

“You Are The Winner! Go You!” comes out this Fall on PC and all major consoles. For more information on this title and all WayForward games, head to www.WayForward.com.
