This week’s Famitsu has more coverage on Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland. In addition to a couple of details about how the story starts, we also have an update on the synthesis system.

Beginning of the Story
– Lulua receives a letter notifying her that the business license for Rorona’s atelier will soon expire
– In order to keep her mother’s atelier going, Lulua sets off on a journey
Synthesis: “Awakening Effects” System
– “Awakening Effects” are hidden effects originally possessed by a material
– By using materials with Awakening Effects, you can create items with effects that do not normally appear
Synthesis: “Add Category” System
– Categories can be added to some synthesized items
– Awakening (Flavoring), Awakening (Neutralizer), etc. This makes a vast array of synthesis possible
