Nintendo set to showcase latest Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games at HYPER JAPAN, taking place Earls Court 25 – 27 July 2014
24th June 2014 – Nintendo will be returning to the HYPER JAPAN expo in 2014 to showcase the latest titles for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, fans can look forward to getting their hands on some of the newest Nintendo games at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London 25 – 27 July.
As well as being able to step into the world of your favourite Nintendo franchises, with many new titles launching over the next year for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, the Nintendo stand at HYPER JAPAN 2014 will be the best place to get a first look and hands on time with a number of exclusive games. The official Nintendo UK Online Store will also be hosting a pop-up store at the event so fans can buy Nintendo merchandise and exclusive goodies while at the expo.

Splatoon dev team size; character ideas included animals, macho male characters, robots, octopuses

Just how big is the Splatoon development team? IGN reports that roughly 40 staffers are working on the project, and the person behind Splatoon’s original prototype is the lead programmer.
IGN also has some news regarding Splatoon’s original character ideas. Initially, the team tossed around possibilities such as animals, macho male characters, robots, and octopuses.

Iwata had surgery last week to remove bile duct growth, came through well

Prior to this year’s E3, we learned that Satoru Iwata would not be attending the expo due to health reasons. Now we know just what happened exactly.
Iwata explained in an official message today that he suffered from a bile duct growth. Fortunately, it was detected very early and was surgically removed last week.
Iwata is now recovering, though it’ll be a little whole longer before he returns to work. He will not be attending the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders this week.

– Agitha uses a parasol in battle
– Can call upon and attack with insects
– Lana is an original character
– She is a witch who wields a book of magic in battle
– Can create barriers to brush away enemies
– When the barrier is broken the shock will cause her damage
