Capes release date set for May, new trailer

March 18: We have an update on Capes and the release date is approaching soon. Today, publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Spitfire Interactive confirmed the launch for May 2024 – an exact date will be shared “very soon”.
Capes, which was announced for Switch just over a year ago, is a turn-based superhero tactics game. Although it was originally slated for last year, it ended up being quietly delayed.

Capes is a highly anticipated turn-based superhero strategy game where XCOM fans will feel right at home. Level up your heroes and combine their powers to access devastating team up attacks in strategically challenging missions. Master compelling tactical gameplay while uncovering a cinematic story: Twenty years ago, the supervillains won. Since then, they’ve created a dystopian city where developing superpowers is a crime and no one has dared oppose them. Until now! Assemble a ragtag team of young heroes and hone their skills and take back King City. April 16: Capes now has a release date of May 29, 2024. It’ll cost $39.99 and pre-orders are now open. A “King City Edition” is also planned for $44.99, which includes eight alternate hero skins and a digital art book.
