This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals “Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Stride to Victory!”, a new game for 3DS. We now have the first information from the magazine.

In Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Stride to Victory!, players will find the same familiar characters, but in an original story. Big changes have been made to the mechanics/system, and this game is said to be a work that is a culmination of all previous Cardfight titles.

Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Stride to Victory! makes use of a new battle system. Gameplay is comprised of high profile 1-on-1 battles with cards. Players can form a deck of 50 cards and use different units such as Knights, Dragons, Dinosaurs, and Angels.

Legion and Stride modes have been made in response to the anime. Here’s an overview of each:

Legion: Mates attack together

– A new ability from “Legion Mates,” the anime that aired in 2014
– If you align “mates” within the “One Card” group, they can attack together
– 1 Pay cost 2 Deploy a mate from the deck 3 Unleash a Legion Attack

Stride: Receive an attack from the future

– A new ability from “One Card G”
– If special conditions are met during the fight, then you can move up to 8 cards to the “G Zone”, and the new “G Unit” can use “Stride”
– 1 Select a unit 2 Pay the cost 3 All can use stride

“Twin Attack (Legion)” and “Exceed (Stride) are examples of new abilities. This is a must see for series’ fans, apparently.

Finally, we have news about characters. Characters from the previous works such as “One Card G” and the anime series make an appearance.
