n-Space’s first ever game on PS1, ‘TigerShark’!

All of this information comes from my interview with n-Space, but I figured I’d post it in a more agreeable form for news outlets and people who have neither the time nor interest to indulge my silly interview writing. If you DO have the time or interest to read my silly interview writing, you can find the full article here.

– Originally wanted to include DLC in ‘Heroes of Ruin’, but were unable to in the end.

– An announcement about something (no word on what) to come via their Facebook page “sooner rather than later”.

– A typical game development team squashes 5,000-50,000 bugs on a single project.

– ‘Winter’ (old Wii survival horror game, never released) isn’t necessarily dead. There’s always interest in the game from within the dev team.

– ‘Star Wars: Battlefront – Elite Squadron’ was originally just going to be ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 3 DS’, but when ‘Battlefront 3’ ran into development issues they went through a rebranding.

Thanks to the game’s Facebook page, we have the first art and details for Star Beast.

We should preface this by saying that it’s not entirely clear how much of this information is still relevant. Most of the gameplay ideas are probably still intact, but the page does mention that the Wii and 3DS are targeted platforms. That’s no longer the case as a LinkedIn profile states that the game will be released on the Wii U, PC, and mobile devices.

In any case, you can find all of the content below.

About

Take control of the universes’ most deadly weapon and plow through the depths of hell to secure the survival of the human race.

Take a look at another batch of Project X Zone details below. The latest information covers more details on how some of the game’s characters meet. Also be sure to check out the latest screenshots.

– .hack’s Kite and BlackRose are in The World
– They run into Mega Man Legends’ Tron Bonne and Namco X Capcom’s Xiaomu
– The latter characters are lost in cyberspace
– .hack is about a group of characters who can’t logout of an online game, but BlackRose and Kite can logout in Project X Zone
– Kurt and Riela from Valkyria Chronicles 3 are soldiers from the 1930s
– The two meet characters from the Sakura Wars games since they are from the Taisho time period
– Before going to the past, Yuri and Estelle travel to an alternate dimension where they cross swords with Sanger Zonvolt from the Super Robot Taisen series

Even though the 3DS introduced SpotPass for the first time, the concept stems from an earlier Nintendo system. The Wii made use of a similar idea with WiiConnect24, but it was severely underutilized compared to SpotPass.

So what’s the point of talking about this? Now that the “downloading while you sleep” feature has been realized with the 3DS – for the most part anyway – there’s a chance that the Wii U could be supporting the functionality.

As shown in the Wii U development kit image above, there appears to be a setting for “Spot Pass setting”. That alone isn’t enough to confirm anything (especially since we can’t confirm the validity of the photo), but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see a form of SpotPass support for Wii U.
