As always it’s recommended that you listen to the podcast in full to listen to points that may have been missed. Also, there may be minor inaccuracies/errors in the transcription.
Recent Nintendo announcements/conferences
– Nintendo talked about stuff that concerned the hardcore gamer
– Bozon uses the word “phenomenal” to describe Nintendo’s press conference, Matt would say “good”
– Matt says Nintendo needed to be more aggressive with the storage solution
– Need to wait awhile for the solution
– Bozon and Matt like Cosmic Walker – looks like you’ll fly around in a jetpack, take care of your ship
– Demon Blade, Punch-Out, DS games, World of Goo, Cave Story were all there
– Matt is happier to hear that Punch-Out is being developed by Next-Level Games than internally by Nintendo
– Bozon and Matt excited about Sin and Punishment 2 – it’s a niche hardcore game
– Let’s Tap is funny
– Bozon thinks Demon Blade will be sick, Matt is amazed Atlus didn’t pick it up
– Pay attention to XSEED, getting all of these major games
– Klonoa, Tenchu, Taito Drum Master all looked pretty cool
Discipline and Kizuna will probably come to NA, XSEED not confirmed as No More Heroes 2 publisher?

Ken from XSEED Games has shared a wealth of knowledge regarding No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle and a few other titles for North America…
“No confirmation yet [Discipline in North America], but Marvelous Entertainment USA (MEU) will evaluate if it’s a fit for the US market and then decide to bring it over or not. I don’t know much about the game, but chances are good it will happen…This title [Kizuna] is a hot topic of discussion among publishers so I’m sure it will come over to the US. Whether it’s by MEU, XSEED or some other publisher is yet to be decided.”
“This title [No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle] will definitely come to the US, the official publisher will be confirmed shortly. Still not confirmed at this time, but Marvelous was pleased with Ubisoft on the first one so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they handled the second one as well.”
Ken also mentioned that there is no news regarding Steel Princess in North America, XSEED tries to follow Japanese source material as closely as possible (when localizing, whether it’s the original Japanese names, theme songs, etc.), and that XSEED will look into pre-order items in the future.

Rising Star Games announces over a dozen new titles coming to Europe in 2009/10
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii | 1 Comment
October 13th 2008 – Rising Star Games and Marvelous Entertainment today hailed their overseas media event at this year’s Tokyo Games Show a success and feels buoyed by the positive reactions received for the products on show. Featuring playable code of the previously announced Little King’s Story for the very first time, there was also a debut for Muramasa: The Demon Blade to western audiences as well as the announcement of No More Heroes 2 by creator Suda51 himself. All three titles will be published by Rising Star Games in PAL territories during 2009/10.
Based on ancient Japanese lore, Muramasa: The Demon Blade plunges players into the mystical Genroku era, ruled by the skilled shogun Tsunayoshi Tokogawa. However, this culture is threatened; Tokogawa’s thirst for power leads to a conflict over the enormously powerful, though cursed, Demon Blades. Used in hatred, drenched in blood, the cursed blades condemn those who use them to tragedy, madness and untimely death. Featuring hand-drawn 2D art reflecting the heritage and tone of the storyline, Muramasa transports players into the mythology envisioned by the creators of the highly praised Odin Sphere. Players take on the role of a male ninja or female kunoichi, utilising their ninja prowess to traverse the clever side-scrolling levels that feature vertical progression as well as the traditional horizontal stage advancement.
