– 9 dog breeds at the start of the game
– Slight differences in hair color/body shape for each pet
– Unlock full set (27 breeds) by playing or through StreetPass
– Can have 3 puppies or kittens in the room at once
– Three types of cats
– These cats are the same in all versions
– A tabby, a Siamese, and a long-haired cat shown on the Japanese website
– Bring up your own kittens as you progress
– Choose from a handful of fur patterns
– Kittens will nap on the windowsill and between book cases
– They also will use their claws
– They’ll climb scratching posts as well
– Cats will act independently, not affected by the puppies you have
