Armature on leaving Nintendo, low games output, not disappointing fans with Batman, more

A trio of Retro staffers left the company in 2008 and formed Armature Studio.
You might be wondering: what sparked the move? Game director Mark Pacini explained the decision in an interview with Game Informer:
I was there for eight years. When you work for Nintendo, Nintendo’s an awesome company. They’re great to work for. It’s hard, challenging work, but it’s rewarding at the same time. But given that regard, there’s a limited amount of things you can do in Nintendo. You can’t work on other platforms. You kind of work on games that they would like you to work on, so after doing three of the same games in a row, we were kind of like, we’d really like the flexibility to do other things.

3DS app (Japan) will let Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Collection players post screenshots to Twitter/Tumblr

According to Nintendo of Japan’s website, 3DS owners will soon be in for a pleasant new application that lets them post their Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Tomodachi Collection screenshots to Twitter or Tumblr via the 3DS internet browser. This would, in theory, allow for simultaneous posting of the image to other websites as well, and it should support the ability to add comments. The process (if reading-via-pictures is any indication) should go something like this:
– Take a screenshot in the game
– Open the internet browser from the Home Menu.
– Hit the “share” button and select either Tumblr or Twitter
– Choose the screenshot from your photos
– Post to the service you selected
