Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed five mini-games for Nintendo Land. The company just announced another one during its E3 2012 roundtable event.

Nintendo has said that a system will be in place for Wii U’s Miiverse to prevent spoilers. How will it work?
During its E3 2012 roundtable event today, Nintendo began to discuss the mechanics. First, users can mark their own items as something containing a spoiler. Other users can also mark other players’ content as a spoiler, which will then be sent to Nintendo for review.
Details on Nintendo Land’s hub

Nintendo Land isn’t just a mini-game collection, even though these items make up the bulk of the game.
Nintendo has started to detail the title’s hub today. Players will be guided by a robot who explains how things work around the park.
Initially, the hub will essentially be an empty void. However, you’ll be able to fill it by earning coins and purchasing items, including statues for the plaza. More coins will be provided if certain guidelines are met.
Nintendo Land will make of Miiverse by populating your hub with other people’s Miis from around the world. You can talk to these Miis to learn about where they’re from, their coin total, and more.
Nintendo Land: Details on the single-player mode for Zelda: Battle Quest

Nintendo has kicked off its 2012 developer roundtable by focusing on its new Wii U game Nintendo Land.
One of the more interesting points discussed is the single-player mode for Zelda: Battle Quest. In it, players become an archer and make use of the GamePad to take on enemies. Nintendo has said that the single-player gameplay sports enemy/feature adjustments.
It sounds like Zelda: Battle Quest won’t be the only mini-game with a single-player mode. Many of Nintendo Land’s offerings will contain single and multiplayer modes, the latter of which will have competitive and co-op options in some cases.

We did post a Wii U release list earlier today confirming Runner 2 for Wii U, but here’s the official announcement:
Gaijin Games is proud to officially reveal that they will be self-publishing BIT.TRIP Presents: Runner 2, Future Legend of Rhythm Alien on the Wii U.
“Ripe with the addictive stench of the classic RUNNER gameplay, Runner2 cuts the cheese with a new art style, Retro Challenges featuring music by Disasterpeace and an endless scroll of gameplay features, costumes and playable characters” -@MikeNRoush
“After announcing Runner2 for XBLA & PSN, we got so much incredible hate mail from our Nintendo fan base that we had to release this game for Wii U under fear of death!” -@AlexNoisy
A sequel to the award-winning and incredibly popular BIT.TRIP RUNNER, originally released on Nintendo’s WiiWare Service, Runner2 boasts:
Black Wii U unlikely for launch

Nintendo initially unveiled the Wii U by showing the console and its controller with a white coloring. At this year’s E3, we’ve also seen black editions of the hardware. Don’t think that the Wii U will be launching with two colors, though.
A Nintendo representative has said that the company intends to ship Wii U in white, but not in black. The black version will be coming at a later date – sometime in the future – as far as we can tell.
Transfer Wii digital downloads to Wii U, cradle comes with console

Scott Moffitt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, has confirmed that digital downloads purchased on the Wii can be transferred over to Wii. This presumably means that all Virtual Console and WiiWare games can be placed on the new console.
Specifics on the transfer process have not been announced.
Moffitt briefly touched on the Wii U’s account system as well, noting, “You will have an individual account based system. Each member of your family might have their own account.”
In its report, ABC News said that there’s no brightness controls for the Wii U GamePad. That sounds a little fishy to me based on what we heard about the controller’s battery life, but we shall see. One thing that we can say for sure is that all Wii U consoles will be sold with a charging cradle.
Using two Wii U GamePads chop frame rate in half
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that the Wii U is capable of supporting two GamePads. The functionality does come with a caveat, however.
When you use two GamePads at once, the framerate gets chopped in half to 30 frames-per-second. That’s according to Satoru Iwata, who tweeted about the news earlier today.
Iwata went on to say that all launch games will use just one GamePad. Games that make use of two will be unveiled in the future.
According to Iwata:
“When you use two, the framerate halfs to 30 frames per second. At launch, we’ll start by offering games that use only one [Wii U GamePad] and then expand from there.”
