Cyberpunk 2077 will support cross-progression on Nintendo Switch 2, tech details
Cyberpunk 2077 will support cross-progression on Nintendo Switch 2, CD Projekt Red has confirmed.
The feature is available across all platforms the game released on. Those looking to take advantage of cross-progression in Cyberpunk 2077 simply need to have a CD Projekt Red account – that’s how the save data is maintained.
CD Projekt Red seems to have put in quite a bit of work for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077. Gyroscope aiming, motion controls, touch screen commands, and mouse capabilities are all packed in. Even more impressive, it’s all being put onto a 64GB physical cartridge.
Something similar happened with The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch a few years ago. Despite many publishers not using a 32GB cartridge at the time, CD Projekt Red did just that for the game’s release. The initial boxed version even came with stickers, a map, and a compendium.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 is being worked on internally by CD Projekt Red. We’re also hearing that the team is targeting 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode, with 30-40 FPS depending on the mode (performance vs quality).
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be available for the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5 with the base game and the Phantom Liberty spy-thriller expansion included. We have lots more news about the console here.
