Death Gambit: Afterlife out on Switch this month, physical release revealed

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer White Rabbit not only confirmed the release date for the 2D action Metroidvania Death’s Gambit: Afterlife today, but unveiled a new physical release as well.

Death’s Gambit: Afterlife will be launching for Switch on September 30 for $19.99. This marks the first time that the IP will appear on Nintendo platforms.

As for the physical version of Death Gambit: Afterlife, copies include the game cartridge along with an assortment of stickers and a two-sided poster that depicts a character compendium and the map that fans may find helpful on their journey through Siradon. Pre-orders are open on Amazon now for $34.99, and it will ship in early 2022.

We’ll also mention that Serenity Forge is featuring brand-new merch for the game through its online store. Fans can pick up a double-sided poster that gives fans an artistic overview of the game’s map and a hand-drawn rendition of the Afterlife key art. Also available is a limited edition vinyl soundtrack featuring a curated tracklist alongside a digital download card. Finally,  two branded Afterlife shirts can be purchased as well.
