Decapolice delayed

The latest on Decapolice was shared today during the Level-5 Vision 2023 II presentation with a delay announcement. According to president Akihiro Hino, the game’s launch has moved to 2024. It was originally announced for this year.

Hino explained that “this title possesses a vast open world of unprecedented size” and the team “decided to take a little more time.” He added: “We aim to build a dense and immersive world, filled with opportunities to play. Various incidents will occur in many different locations.”

Here’s some information about the game:

Decapolice, a crime-suspense RPG from Level-5, developers of the Layton series, will be released on Nintendo Switch! The main character, a rookie detective named Harvard, hunts down criminals in a huge open-world crime-ridden city, travelling back and forth between physical and virtual reality. Look forward to a mysterious detective story with investigations in virtual space.

Our next update should come during Level-5 Vision 2024, which happens sometime in April.
