Digimon World: Next Order details Switch frame rate, resolution
Bandai Namco has shared details about the frame rate and resolution for the new Switch version of Digimon World: Next Order. The technical information was posted on the official Japanese website.
Bandai Namco says that the is largely a 60 FPS experience. However, during some of the more intense moments, the frame rate in Digimon World: Next Order may drop to around 30 FPS. This is in comparison to the PS4 version that always runs at 60 FPS.
As for resolution, Digimon World: Next Order will be 1080p in docked mode. It’ll drop to the native 720p resolution in portable mode. In other words, it sounds like we’re getting the highest setting possible. The PS4 version also runs at 1080p.
We covered this in one of our previous file size roundups, but Digimon World: Next Order is expected to take up about 6.7GB on Switch, in comparison to 12GB or more on PS4. Cloud saves are supported, which comes as no real surprise.
Digimon World: Next Order is due out for Switch on February 22, 2023. A new Beginner Mode and a new “run” feature will be included as extras for Nintendo’s console as these weren’t in previous versions of the game.
