Donkey Kong Bananza amiibo

June 18: We’ve just received word that Donkey Kong Bananza is getting amiibo support, and as part of that, a new figure with Pauline is on the way.

By using the Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo, you’ll unlock Pauline’s Diva Dress. Discs will be twice as likely to appear when defeating an enemy if you’re using it.

Note that there’s functionality for other Donkey Kong amiibo as well. Previous Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Super Nintendo World Power-Up Bands, and King K. Rool figures are supported. By scanning any of them, gold Kong tiles with explosive power will appear.

All other amiibo released thus far also work. Scanning them will cause giant spheres to appear that can be helpful during gameplay.

Donkey Kong Bananza comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17, 2025. We also just learned that multiplayer co-op and GameShare are supported – check out that news here.

Update: Pre-orders are now starting to go live. Best Buy is taking reservations here.
