Donkey Kong expansion at Super Nintendo World Japan opening delayed

The upcoming Donkey Kong expansion for Super Nintendo World in Japan has been delayed. In a message on social media, it was announced that the park is now opening in late 2024.

Originally, the Donkey Kong expansion was on track for a Spring 2024 debut. A reason for the delay was not provided. The message contained an apology to those interested in the theme park.

The Donkey Kong expansion was originally announced in September 2021. Construction seemed to be getting to its final stages, and we hadn’t heard about any setbacks until today. The area will be highlighted by a brand new rollercoaster. 

More details about the new opening date for the Donkey Kong expansion at Super Nintendo World Japan will be announced at a later date.
