Double Dragon Collection getting release in the west
Arc System Works today announced that it’s putting out the Double Dragon Collection in the west – which will include a special collector’s edition. It’s not too far away, and we already have a release date of June 14, 2024.
Double Dragon Collection previously came to Switch in Japan last year. It includes Double Dragon, Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Double Dragon III: Sacred Stones, Super Double Dragon, Double Dragon Advance, and Double Dragon IV.
Here’s some additional information:
This collection includes six titles in one package from the iconic Double Dragon fight game series that helped define an entire subgenre. Follow brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee’s journey as they master the martial arts and fight against the Black Shadow Warriors. Each game in the collection has four slots for saving game progress, as well as video options for different resolutions, screen sizes, scanline types, and wallpapers. Players can also adjust the volume, quality of sound effects, and reverb levels.
Double Dragon Collection will initially come to the Switch eShop. Later on, a physical release will be distributed by Limited Run Games.
Double Dragon Collection will be sold physically standalone as well as a collector’s edition. The latter includes a copy of the game, collector’s box with slip cover, acrylic diorama, NES / SNES / Game Boy Advance-style keychains, and Billy and Jimmy Lee action figures. Pre-orders for the physical editions are open here.
