Dragon Quest Treasures Blowhard Beverage guide

Dragon Quest Treasures has a variety of different food items which can be purchased from shops and prepared at the Canteen facility by Erik or Mia, including the Blowhard Beverage. In this guide we’ll tell you how to acquire it and its ingredients.

What is the Blowhard Beverage?

Blowhard Beverage is a food item in Dragon Quest Treasures. It requires 3 Nectar, 3 Silkblossom, and 3 Wingtip Nectar to craft, and can be prepared at the Canteen on your Island once you have unlocked that facility and purchased the recipe from the Emporium. It has the effect of increasing resistance to abilities, and will often be one of the required items for recruiting Golems to your party.

How to unlock Blowhard Beverage in Dragon Quest Treasures

To unlock the Blowhard Beverage in Dragon Quest Treasures you will first need to unlock the Emporium facility on your Island. To do this, speak to Miss Cecily and then travel to the Maneland, where you will find Bricky Rix. Complete his sidequest by giving him a Flintstone (you can find these on The Paternoggin) and report to Miss Cecily on your Island. You will then be able to buy the recipe from the Emporium for 3300 coins.

After this, you will need to travel to Wingswept Moors and speak to Chez Blancmange, the large pink slime, who will ask you to recruit a Ham Shamwitch. You can find these monsters in the surrounding area. If you are having trouble recruiting one to your team, use a Buddy Bullet before defeating it to increase the chance it will want to join your party after battle. Completing her sidequest will unlock the Canteen back on your Island, which will allow you to create a Blowhard Beverage.

Blowhard Beverage Ingredient Locations

As previously mentioned, Dragon Quest Treasures’ Blowhard Beverage requires 3 Nectar, 3 Silkblossom, and 3 Wingtip Nectar to craft, and you will need to gather these ingredients yourself. You can find them in the following locations:

Both Nectar and Wingtip Nectar can be gathered from purple flowers on Wingtip Moors. These are a common sight in the Swoopswamp Area, so it is recommended that you search there. You may also wish to dispatch your monsters to this area for a chance that they will gather Wingtip Nectar, and can send a party to the Snouterhorn Area of The Paternoggin for a chance of receiving Nectar once they return.

Silkblossom can be found in the Maneland and the Hinterquarters, from grassy gathering points. There are slightly more of these points in the Maneland, so it is recommended that you search there. You can also dispatch a team of monsters to either the Glacier Junction Area of The Hinterquarters or the Hotbreath Halt Area of The Maneland and they may bring back some when they return.
