DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing announced for Switch

Original (7/25): GameMill Entertainment is bringing DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing to Switch, the company has announced. It will be available later in 2023.
DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will feature characters from the Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, and The Bad Guys. The lineup thus far is Shrek himself, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Po, Tigress, Master Shifu, Astrid, Megamind, and Mr. Wolf. There’ll be twenty fan-favorite characters in total.
One of the main hooks of the game involves magical switches that can be hit to uncover hidden shortcuts. Additionally, Poppy, Branch, Barb, Cooper, and others from the Trolls will act as hosts for each race, helping out with their power-up potential – Trolls can be collected for “special surprises”.
Each character has their own kart, and there are “hundreds of customizable parts and accessory combinations.” Support is planned for online multiplayer (eight players) and split-screen multiplayer (four players).

Twenty of the most iconic DreamWorks Animation characters take the wheel in the fast-paced world of kart racing in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing! Shift, drift and jump at high speeds across a variety of fantastical tracks inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s many fan-favorite films. - Harness the Power of Magic Paths: Players can hit magical switches on the track to uncover hidden shortcuts. They can extend these magical paths by hitting more switches in series!
- Trolls Join the Crew: Poppy, Branch, Barb, Cooper and others from the colorful world of DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls are players’ rockin’ hosts for each race, helping out with their power-up potential. Players can collect Trolls to ride along with them throughout each race for special surprises!
- Compete in a Variety of Game Modes: Players will be able to feel the excitement in Free Race, Cups, Challenge, or Time Trial game modes, and take on family and friends in eight-person online and four-player local split-screen multiplayer action.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is priced at $39.99. GameMill will also offer a $49.99 Digital Deluxe Edition with Wolf from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda as exclusives.
