Edge of Eternity – Cloud Version announced for Switch
Today, publisher Dear Villagers and developer Midgar Studio announced that the JRPG Edge of Eternity – Cloud Version is heading to Switch. Look for it on February 23, 2022.
Below is some information about the game:
In a world torn asunder, the people of Heryon pursue a desperate war against a mysterious invader. As this conflict opposing magic and technology grows to cataclysmic proportions, a new threat emerges from the battlefield. Wage epic turn-based battles as you follow Daryon and Selene in their quest to find a cure to the all-consuming Corrosion and save the world of Heryon.
Edge of Eternity features turn-based tactical combat in which players can use the environment to lure enemies into traps as well as outsmart and outflank them to inflict huge damage. It’s also possible to craft gear and inset it with powerful crystals to unlock unique combinations of skills and power-ups.
Outside of gameplay systems, Edge of Eternity promises “a cast of larger-than-life companions, each with their own unique personalities and attributes.” Players can also explore the world of Heryon and take in the music from Yasunori Mitsuda, who has previously worked on Xenoblade Chronicles and Chrono Trigger.
When Edge of Eternity – Cloud Version comes to Switch, it will include all current and upcoming updates and fixes from the PC version. All platforms will also be getting Japanese voices at launch.
