Falcom planning to release two more “refined” games

Posted on December 21, 2022 by in News, Switch

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana was recently announced by Falcom to be coming to Switch in Spring 2023 as a “refined” remaster of the PSP original. We now know the company is planning to release at least two more of these “refined” titles.

This information comes from an interview with Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo through Weekly Famitsu Magazine. In it, he confirms that the company is planning to release three of these new “refined” titles, including Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. No other details on these games were provided, but given that Falcom recently made a commitment to release three games on Switch by September 2023, it’s very likely we’ll see at least one more of these “refined” games show up on the platform.

Kondo also took the time to confirm some details for Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. Namely, that the game runs at 60 FPS “without issue”, that work is being done to replace textures with newer high-resolution versions, and that balance adjustments are being made to the game to accommodate the new userbase.
