Fantasy Life i launches on Nintendo Switch 2 next week, improvements detailed [update: trailer]
May 27: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time just received a release date on Nintendo Switch 2, and it turns out you won’t have to wait very long to play it. Level-5 says it’ll be ready in time for the console’s launch on June 5, 2025.
We previously heard that there would be some improvements on Nintendo Switch 2 compared to the Switch 1 version, and now we have full details. According to Level-5, there’ll be better graphics and an improved frame rate. Additionally, distant objects will be rendered more clearly. Game startup and scene transitions are also faster and more seamless as well.

Note that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will not be getting an Digital Deluxe Edition on Nintendo Switch 2. Level-5 says that those interested in it should purchase the Nintendo Switch version and then pick up the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack.
The upgrade pack will be available to any owner of the Nintendo Switch 1 version. This will cost just $2.59.
