Fast Fusion confirms free content update [update: Quality Mode patch]

May 20: Shin’en made it official today that the studio is working on a free content update for its Nintendo Switch 2 launch game Fast Fusion. That news was shared on the game’s official social media account.

Unfortunately, fans will be forced to wait a bit for specifics as to what Shin’en is cooking up. That said, we’re hopeful that we’ll be seeing some new tracks. Work on the additional content is already underway. We’ll let you know when more details are available. 

Fast Fusion will cost just $15 despite the industry seeing a rising cost in game prices for some releases. Shin’en CEO Manfred Linzne recently spoke with us about how that amount was determined, stating: “We simply want that as many people as possible can have a truly next gen title on their new consoles on day one. So we decided for this affordable price.”

May 30: Shin’en has now confirmed a Quality Mode via a day one patch. This will allow for a 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.
