Freedom Wars Remastered 1.7.0 update out now, patch notes – many adjustments included

Freedom Wars Remastered 1.7.0 update

Freedom Wars Remastered earned one of its more notable updates this week with the Nintendo Switch version now at version 1.7.0.

The team implemented many different adjustments across the board. Also unsurprisingly, a bunch of bugs have now been fixed.

The full rundown is as follows:

Bug Fixes

  • Unable to Transition to Charge Attacks Immediately After Dashing: A bug where you couldn’t transition to charge attacks immediately after dashing when using Heavy Melee or Polearms has been fixed.
  • Fixed Modular Selection Bug: Personal Firearm: A bug where an invalid modular (increased fire rate) could be selected has been fixed for the Pulsar system.
  • Adjustments to Item Drop Behavior: A bug where enemy drop items in Operation 7-4 could disappear after being dropped has been fixed.
  • Fixed Bug with Unacquired Weapons Being Notified: A bug where unacquired weapons were incorrectly notified upon destroying weaponry on certain Large Abductors has been fixed.
  • Adjustments to Ally NPC Behavior: A bug where ally NPCs would continuously miss with their thorns has been fixed.
  • Fixed Bug with Lock-On Sound Effect Persisting: A bug where the lock-on sound effect would persist in certain situations when using Nambu-type weapons has been fixed.
  • Correction of Spanish Text: When the display language was set to Spanish, some material names were incorrectly displayed as those of different materials. This has been corrected.

  • Other Bug Fixes: Other bugs have been fixed.

Adjustments/Changes to Specifications

  • Addition of “Citizen” Tab to Application for Sentence Reduction screen: A “Citizen” tab has been added to Application for Sentence Reduction. (※GDPP at the time of Citizen donation will be zero.)
  • Enhanced Severing Damage: The damage from severing attacks has been strengthened. Additionally, the performance difference between button mashing and holding the button has been adjusted to be almost equivalent.
  • Permanent Availability of Retribution Volunteer: A “Special Volunteer Dispatch Lottery Terminal” has been added to the cooperative volunteer rooms, allowing players to use the Entitlement Points to obtain the Retribution Volunteer.
  • Eased Difficulty in Acquiring limited Exclusive Resources for Retribution Volunteer: A new selection of resources available for purchase from Ethan at Level 6 has been added.
  • Weapon Balance Adjustments
    Balance adjustments have been made for SR, AR, Phalanx, Pulsar, and Dragonfang weapons:

    • SR: Headshot multiplier and magazine capacity have been strengthened.
    • AR: Flinch damage and the impact of attribute values have been strengthened.
    • Pulsar: The impact of attribute values has been strengthened.
    • Phalanx: The impact of attribute values has been strengthened.
    • Dragonfang: Power, headshot multiplier, and maximum magazine capacity have been strengthened.

※Weapon adjustments are planned for future patches as well.

  • Addition of PvP Volunteer Start Function for Small Groups
    A function has been added that allows PvP volunteer missions to start when there are 2 or more players in the room.

※Missing participants will be filled by Sinner NPCs

  • Change in default value of application authority for Cooperative Volunteers: The default setting for the application authority of cooperative volunteers has been changed from “Host Only” to “Everyone.”
  • Adjustment of Success Rate for Modular Synthesis: The success rate for modular synthesis has been adjusted, making it easier to strengthen modules.
  • Adjustment of Attack Hit Display for SR and AR Weapons: The damage display position for SR and AR weapon hits has been adjusted to prevent overlap.
  • Addition of Accessory Voice Language Switch Function: A language switch function for Accessory’s voices has been added to the ” Window on Liberty > Auditory Language Change Request” menu.

※Accessory’s voices support both Japanese and English languages.
※To correctly play the customized response voices, you need to re-enter the dialogue in the selected language.

  • Additional Specs for the “Spider Thread” Status Effect: When affected by the “Spider Thread” status effect, players can now escape from the restrained state more quickly by pressing buttons.
  • Adjustment to the Spawn Frequency of Shielded Abductors: The spawn frequency of shielded Abductors has been adjusted.
  • Adjustment to Dodge Action Performance: Dodge action performance has been adjusted. Additionally, the window for transitioning from getting up after being downed to a dodge has been extended.
  • Adjustment to Dionaea’s Attack Hitbox: The hitbox for Dionaea’s running attack and gliding attack has been adjusted.
  • Feature to hide menu displays in online multiplayer rooms: Added a feature to hide menu displays in online multiplayer rooms. Pressing the R2/ZR/RT button will now hide various menu displays.

Bandai Namco says there’s still more planned such as weapon balance adjustments, addition of a feature to view TIPS at any time, and addition of an option to turn on/off dash function by holding the Dodge button. That should come in a future update.
