Gearbits gets Nintendo Switch release date, new trailer
Following an announcement earlier this year, Gearbits now has its Nintendo Switch release date. Fans can grab it on September 25, 2025.
We initially heard about the Nintendo Switch version of Gearbits back in March. However, this is the first time we’ve had any sort of launch timing for the mecha third-person shooter.
Learn more about it in the following overview:
Set in a distant future on a hostile colony world, players must battle through swarms of monstrous insects and rival pilots across a 30-mission story campaign.
Choose from over 10 unique mechs, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses, and equip them with over 30 powerful weapons – from missile launchers to rail guns and beam cannons. Whether you prefer overwhelming firepower or agile manoeuvrability, Gearbits lets you build your perfect war machine.
The Nintendo Switch version includes these exclusive features:
- Optimised controls for handheld and docked play
- UI enhancements tailored for console
- Fully localised Japanese version available
- includes the “Raider Expedition” expansion DLC
Gearbits also includes a Wave Survival Mode, where players face escalating enemy hordes, earn credits, and upgrade their arsenal to survive increasingly intense battles.
