PiXEL is bringing a new game to Switch and PC (via Steam) called Wing of Asteria. This game is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up based on Greek mythology and it is now planned for a 2022 release in Japan. It is unknown at this time if it will be localized for other languages.
Notable people involved in development include Shujirou Hamakawa as a character designer (Twin bee, High School DxD, etc.) and Yoshinori Kawamoto who is part of the Bandai Namco Studios Sound Team (Burning Force, Star Fox: Assault, etc.) as a composer. They, along with the rest of the development team, will be bringing a brand new story with unique characters, scenery, and creatures in Wing of Asteria.
All this comes from a press release from PiXEL that was translated courtesy of Gematsu and more of their translation, including character descriptions/portraits, are included below.
