Hollow Knight: Silksong release date finally revealed, brand new trailer

After a very long wait, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally received its release date today. Team Cherry just revealed that it’s due out on September 4, 2025.

Hollow Knight: Silksong has had an interesting development history, to say the least. Originally, it was planned as DLC for the series’ first entry before it was turned into its own game.

Hollow Knight: Silksong actually had a big spotlight for Nintendo at E3 2019 with quite a bit of gameplay shown. No one could have expected that it would take more than six years from that point until launch. Thankfully, the long wait is coming to an end.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song! Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.
