How to get Zeraora in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension
Given the prominent marketing of Mega Zeraora leading up to the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, we think it’s safe to assume that the player would have the opportunity to catch Zeraora at some point. Indeed, that is exactly the case here – and interestingly, this is the very first time players are able to catch a Zeraora with their own OT plus any Poke Ball they want. Up until now, it’s been exclusive to events. In order to catch Zeraora, you’ll need to beat Mega Dimension’s final bossĀ andĀ do something else in the postgame. We’ll describe what that is in just a moment, but for now, you may want to bookmark this page and come back later if you’re looking to avoid story spoilers.

In terms of prerequisites, there are a few. First, you’ll need to have defeated Mega Dimension’s main story final boss, but you’ll also need to have battled and caught the Rogue Level 200 Rayquaza as well. You may also need to have caught Diancie and Mewtwo, if you’ve received their corresponding items via Mystery Gift but haven’t completed their encounters. Once you’ve done that, head to Racine Construction and purchase Canari Bread from Tarragon – you can only do this once per day. Then, using the map in the image above, head to the roof of Vert Sector 3. You can do this by taking the nearby holovator, which you can also see at the bottom of the picture near the Cafe. On the rooftop is a kid who will ask you to trade some items. Give him the Canari Bread and he will give you the Popping Candy. Take this Popping Candy to Ansha and she’ll come up with a new donut recipe.

As with the other Legendary and Mythical Pokemon donuts, Zeraora’s requires a very specific score. Here’s the recipe we used – it includes four Hyper Kasib Berries, one Hyper Charti Berry, one Hyper Babiri Berries, and two Hyper Chilan Berries. Once you’ve made the donut, you’ll team up with Emma and Korrina to battle Mega Zeraora. Its Plasma Fists attack will put you one hit away from death if it connects, so make absolutely sure that you focus on dodging first and foremost. Bring powerful Ground-type Pokemon like Mega Garchomp or Mega Excadrill and you’ll be good to go on the Pokemon side of things. Once Zeraora has been defeated, you are guaranteed to capture it with any Poke Ball you want. I personally caught it in a standard Poke Ball since I have a Living Pokedex project going, but if you want to catch it in a Poke Ball that matches its color, go with an Ultra Ball or Quick Ball.
We’ll be back with more Pokemon Legends: Z-A guides in the coming weeks, including guides on how to catch other Legendary and Mythical Pokemon in the game. For more information on Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC over at Nintendo’s official website.
