Nintendo shared new details about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity during today’s Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream. The information covered weapons and fusing, quests and bonuses that can be received, and more.
Here’s the full roundup:
– There’s a stage select map you can access from the top of a Sheikah Tower in between stages
– Collect different materials while playing
– Unlock different locations on the map with materials
– Weapons don’t break in this game
– Can use weapons you collect to strengthen your primary used weapon
– This costs rupees
– Use up to five different weapons for fusing
– Do this at the blacksmith
– Can also sell weapons
– Can cook using materials you collect
– Recipes can be used to give characters a buff before going into battle
– By defeating monsters and getting materials, turn them into other quests, which you can use to unlock bonus combos, extra health, other things
– They have stories that go along with them
– Ex: young child in Hateno Village wants to build a monster dummy to practice using a two-handed sword
– Link brings the materials to make the dummy, helps him build it, then they train together
– That’s how Link gets an extra move for the two-handed sword
– Weapons have different effects
– Can change your attire
– Unlock different pieces of armor as you progress
– Armor has effects as well
