Level-5 gave another status update on Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road today, which includes frame rate and resolution details for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions as well as a sequel tease.

For those playing on Nintendo Switch 2, the game will run at 60 frames per second. Docked resolution is 4K. Nintendo Switch 1 pairs things back to 30 frames per second with 1080p resolution when docked.

Here’s the full platform breakdown:

  • PlayStation 5 – 4K resolution / 60 frames per second
  • PlayStation 5 Pro – 4K resolution / 120 frames per second
  • PlayStation 4 – 1080p resolution / 60 frames per second
  • PlayStation 4 Pro – 4K resolution / 60 frames per second
  • Xbox Series X – 4k resolution / 120 frames per second
  • Xbox Series S – 1440p resolution / 60 frames per second
  • Switch 2 – 4K resolution / 60 frames per second (TV Mode)
  • Switch – 1080p resolution / 30 frames per second (TV Mode)
  • High-End PC – 4K resolution / 120 frames per second or higher
  • PC version also supports 21:9 landscape monitors

Something else confirmed today is that mouse controls will be supported on Nintendo Switch 2. This option will be offered through the Joy-Con 2.

During an online event today, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino hinted at a potential sequel. Here’s what he said on that front, courtesy of Gematsu:

“The game will feature over 5,400 characters, but collecting them all won’t be easy. We don’t know how long it’ll take to collect them all – it could take an absurdly long time. So we’ve added the ability to carry over your save data to the next game.

To explain in greater detail, the characters you collect can be stored in a save area called the Player Bank. You’ll manage your players by transferring them between the Player Bank and your main save data. That being said, it’s not complicated, and isn’t much different from leaving your characters at a tavern in other RPGs.

However, there are alternate versions of the same characters with different abilities, so there’s a chance that even storage for 5,400 characters might not be enough. In that case, you may have to delete some characters as you progress – but I don’t think you’ll be able to collect that many right away anyway.

The important thing is, the Player Bank can be carried over to a potential sequel, so even if you only manage to collect around 700 characters in this game, you’ll be able to continue collecting them in the next one.”
