Japan’s best-selling games of November 2024

New data provided by Famitsu gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of November 2024.

Unsurprisingly, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was a massive success for Square Enix. The game sold over 900,000 units and nearly 80 percent of that total was for the Nintendo Switch version.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership also debuted in November, but settled for fifth place. The RPG sold close to 90,000 copies, according to Famitsu.

Here’s the full list of Japan’s best-selling games of November 2024:

1. [NSW] Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake – 712,188 / NEW
2. [PS5] Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake – 200,944 / NEW
3. [NSW] Super Mario Party Jamboree – 167,465
4. [NSW] Mario & Luigi: Brothership – 88,529 / NEW
5. [NSW] Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven – 30,210 / 100,577

Thanks to Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Square Enix was the top publisher of the month. However, Nintendo still sold 465,000 units of software. Super Mario Party Jamboree and Mario & Luigi: Brothership comprise about half of that amount.

For hardware, Nintendo Switch yet again came out on top. 255,401 units were sold, in comparison to 245,466 units the previous month.
