Kirby Air Riders has no DLC planned, not planned as an ongoing series

Kirby Air Riders director Masahiro Sakurai closed out the game’s second Direct presentation today with a few general comments, including confirmation that he’s not planning DLC.

There’s always the chance that things could change in the future. However, at least right now, don’t expect DLC for Kirby Air Riders. Sakurai also said that he’s “not planning on making this an ongoing series.” It sounds like he went all out in making the Nintendo Switch 2 title.

Sakurai shared a few words of reflection, stating:

“I do believe the passionate support from fans was a big reason why this game was made. You have to spend time and money to make games, so those wishes aren’t always granted, and thanks to that support, and the efforts of a great many people, we were able to make this game a reality… I’ve thrown everything I have into this game from the start. So I hope you don’t miss this opportunity.”
