Koei Tecmo has supported Switch with a bunch of games over the past year. Although some have remained in Japan, as a developer and a publisher, the company has produced over a dozen titles for the system. That support should be continuing going forward.

In an interview with GameSpot, Koei Tecmo president Hisashi Koinuma spoke about Switch’s success and the continued interest in the platform. He stated that the company is “readily available to make titles available on Switch, and either our own IPs or some other company’s IPs.”

Koinuma’s full words:

“I believe that the Switch was well-received and became popular because it’s really suited for the modern lifestyle, not only in Japan, but the US and also European countries as well. So we are readily available to make titles available on Switch, and either our own IPs or some other company’s IPs. I feel we’ve been working on making the titles available on Switch much faster than the other publishers. If there is any need or wishes to be played on Switch, then definitely, we will work on that.”

By the way, Koei Tecmo still remains interested in mixing Star Wars together with Dynasty Warriors. “I’m always saying this, but I think Star Wars has been really successful and I would love for us to make that game,” Koinuma told GameSpot.
