[Let’s Talk] September 2025 Nintendo Direct reactions
One of the longest Nintendo Directs ever just took place yesterday with the September 2025 presentation. Nintendo itself presented the latest news for both Switch 2 and Switch, but third-parties chimed in as well.
From Nintendo, games that are new announcements included Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Mario Tennis Fever, Pokemon Pokopia, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Other highlights include the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics, Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Metroid Prime 4 and Hyrule Wariors: Age of Imprisonment release dates. From third-parties, we saw Resident Evil Requiem (plus Resident Evil 7 and Village), Fatal Frame 2 Remake, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, and Danganronpa 2×2. This wasn’t everything, but you can catch up on it all here.
So now that the Nintendo Direct is over, how are you feeling about it? What was your favorite announcement? Let us know in the comments.
Highlights from last week’s topic: What are you playing? – September 2025

Haven’t had a lot of chances to use the Switch 2, but I’m about to 100% DK Bananza. There are just like 10 bananas more.
Once I’m done with it I will probably play some Mario Kart World and then Chibi-Robo.
I also just finished DKC3 for the first time and… it was amazing! I’m not sure why some people act like it’s some kind of black sheep or just an ok game. It was easier than the previous one, sure, but the levels were pretty good.
Not sure if the OLED is to blame , but the game it’s so beautiful. Like, there were some times where I just paused the game to enjoy the visuals.
And I like Kiddy Kong. He did nothing wrong.

Just finished Bakeru. Amazing game, biggest problem I had was that the final boss was to easy.
A frined came back from Japan recently and brought me Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced. Been playing Gunvot 3. Gameplay is good, but story is the weakest of the series, and charachters talking during boss battles is distracting.

I’m currently grinding for some Goddess Fruits from Treasure Groves in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time on my Nintendo Switch (yes, I did buy the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, but I’m fine enough without it for now), alongside trying to age my weapons and tools to at least 800 years. I’m just a few steps away from reaching my 400th hour of the game’s total playtime and I’ve nowhere near the point of stopping soon, especially with the upcoming “Update the World” update en route.

I know, I know – Silksong, but hear me out: I just 100% the new Shinobi game, and if you care about some good 2D action with great level design, I can’t recommend it enough. Great game, great soundtrack.
