Madden NFL 26 coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Madden NFL 26 is heading to Nintendo Switch, EA revealed today. The game launches on August 14, 2025.
Plans for the football franchise on the new console were announced during a Nintendo Direct earlier in the month. However, EA didn’t specify if we’d be getting this year’s main entry or something else entirely.
While Madden doesn’t appeal to everyone, it’s a massive get for Nintendo. The series never appeared on the original Switch and hasn’t seen an entry on a Nintendo platform since the Wii U days. Madden is always one of the best-selling games each year in the United States.
Here’s the official description:
Dominate the league in EA Sports Madden NFL 26. Years of NFL game data powers next-level coaching, QB authenticity, and explosive gameplay. Every game is a new challenge on your path to becoming an NFL legend.
This game includes optional in-game purchases of virtual currency that can be used to acquire virtual in-game items, including a random selection of virtual in-game items.
