MainFrames release date set for March, new trailer
Today, The Arcade Crew and Assoupi came through with the release date for MainFrames. The game will be ready to go on March 6, 2024.
MainFrames, a byte-sized, fast-paced platformer with light puzzle elements, was previously made known for Nintendo Switch in August. A Q1 2025 release window was provided at the time.
Here’s the latest on the game:
From hopping between program windows on a computer monitor to rearranging desktop icons to discover routes forward, a torrent of new challenges and peculiar puzzles await in each of MainFrames’ levels – including boss fight-style creations controlled by the operating system itself. MainFrames’ desktop aesthetic offers a nostalgic nod to classic Windows wallpapers, offering familiar islands, mountains, forests, deserts and more to admire while navigating a digitized landscape.
MainFrames follows the adventure of Floppy, a computer program on a quest of self-discovery, driven to uncover their unknown origins and unlock their true function. Befriend the colorful characters running MainFrames’ network along the way, whose chipper humor will surely upload some laughter into your day. While challenging at times, MainFrames’ mischievous level design and welcoming world offers a fair platforming experience that won’t leave you feeling defragmented. Floppy’s journey is overclocked with charm and a ride you won’t want to miss.
