Mario Kart 8 Deluxe balance changes revealed for version 2.3.0
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe introduced some balance changes for version 2.3.0, and we now have details as to what’s different. Information was compiled by the Mario Kart Blog and shared by Reddit user Meester_Tweester.
Nintendo’s patch notes said that version 2.3.0 “improved the performance of some characters and vehicle customizations.” However, it turns out that things go deeper than that.
It turns out that almost every driver has seen their ground, water, air, and anti-gravity speed statistic increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point). The exceptions to this are Metal Mario, Gold Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Roy, Wario, Dry Bowser, Bowser, Morton, and large Mii.
Something else that’s changed for balance with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update is that a bunch of characters’ mini-turbo statistics have increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point). This applies to Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Dry Bones, small Mii, Toad, Shy Guy, Larry, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Mario, Ludwig, medium Mii, Luigi, and Iggy.
Next up, every vehicle body except for Pipe Frame, Varmint, City Tripper, Biddybuggy, Mr. Scooty, Landship, Streetle, Standard Bike, Flame Rider, Wild Wiggler, and W 25 Silver Arrow has had their mini-turbo statistic increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point).
The final adjustments are for tires. All tires other than Roller, Azure Roller, Button, and Leaf Tires has had their mini-turbo statistic increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point).
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version 2.3.0 update launched earlier this week, bringing along support for the Wave 4 Booster Course Pass DLC. It also includes some other elements as well – find the patch notes here.
