Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope character guide: Peach
Nintendo Everything has created a series of character guides for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, looking at the best skills to acquire, party members to use with them, and Sparks to give them to maximize their potential. This is a guide for Peach.
Peach returns to help Mario once again in Sparks of Hope, miraculously spared from being kidnapped for once to provide support with her Team Barrier technique. Peach is one of the more difficult characters to use, particularly on maps with lots of enemies, as her Team Barrier technique only comes with a maximum of four charges when upgraded fully: this can be broken by two enemies if they dash into a character and then attack them afterwards, which is not uncommon. It also only lasts for a single turn and has a minimum three-turn cooldown. Whilst her damage potential is not inconsiderable, there are other characters better suited for inflicting damage, making her a very niche character.
What skills are best for Peach?
If you plan on using Peach in battle, invest first in Team Barrier Cooldown and Team Barrier Charge in the Technique branch of her Skill Tree, to make her Team Barrier as useful as possible. Team Barrier Discharge can be useful in later stages if you find your characters are getting hit by dashes or are too close to the enemy, but is not a priority. From there, invest in Peach’s Weapon branch: Weapon Damage and Wider Shot are both useful to have, as the damage Peach can inflict can reach modest levels, allowing her to function as a good secondary attacker.
Peach is an excellent unit to use when you need to reach a set point on the map, and if you plan to use her for this purpose, putting your Skill Prisms into Glide Boost, Movement Range, and Barrier Jump Assist in the Movement branch of her Skill Tree, alongside maximizing Team Barrier Charge, gives her a niche role that lets you move your units quickly and safely across the map.
Who are the best Party members to use with Peach?
The best use for Peach in battle is against bosses, where healing may not necessarily be able to keep up with the damage that they can do, particularly on higher difficulties. Because of this, she is best paired with units like Luigi, who can inflict a lot of damage on a single target, or Edge, who can clear out smaller enemies quickly, so her Team Barrier charges are used to absorb big attacks from stronger enemies or bosses and not weak attacks. Mario is also a good option for a third character, as he can hopefully remove weaker enemies with Hero Sight before they can successfully attack and deplete a Barrier charge. Her Team Barrier skill and long glide distance make her an ideal character to use on maps that require you to reach a set point though, and she has some use on Survival maps as well.
Which Sparks are best for Peach?
As Peach will likely be under the protection of Team Barrier, she is one of the better candidates to have Pulser equipped, allowing her to revive fallen characters if needed. If you plan to use her as a more offensive unit, giving her a Spark that inflicts a Super Effect over a wide area, such as Zephyquake, can be helpful. Alternatively, giving her Starburst to improve the party’s offensive capabilities is a good option. If you find Team Barrier is depleted too quickly, Exosphere may also be a good choice, so that your characters take less damage from attacks before she can apply Team Barrier to them again.
