Microids to release Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition on Switch

Asterix is celebrating its 65th anniversary, and in honor of the occasion, Microids is preparing the Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition. It’s due out for Switch on October 31, 2024.

The collection includes a total of six games, all of which are included on a physical cartridge. Also included is a unique silver figurine of Obelix, accompanied by his loyal companion Idefix, proudly holding a stack of Roman helmets. 

The full rundown of titles in Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition is as follows:

• Asterix & Obelix – Slap Them All: Play as Asterix and Obelix and enjoy the most iconic landscapes of the saga while battling hundreds of enemies, from legionaries to pirates, bandits and the famous Normans. Enemies and wild boars will have to be cautious! Asterix and Obelix are back… and it’s going to be another great fight!
• Asterix & Obelix – Slap Them All! 2: A&O STA! 2 is a slap-filled Beat’em Up with an original storyline. You’ll visit many different places along the way: forgotten ruins in a murky forest, the largest Roman camp ever, and even Lutèce… A journey towards distant lands, packed with diverse environments, punctuated by numerous encounters and, of course – featuring a generous distribution of slaps! All accompanied by original animated scenes that bring the story to life!
• Asterix & Obélix – XXL Romastered: After a fine day’s hunting, Asterix and Obelix return to find their village in flames, pillaged by the Romans! They set off to rescue their fellow villagers, accompanied by their faithful Dogmatix. Their journey will take them to Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt and, finally, Rome, in order to save the villagers from the clutches of the emperor Caesar…
• Asterix & Obelix – XXL 2: But where has Getafix gone? The long-bearded druid has disappeared after betraying his own people for Julius Caesar! The Gaulish village is in uproar! They must find out the truth! Always ready for a fight, Asterix and Obelix are sent to Rome on a mission by their chief Vitalstatistix. There, they find a new amusement park – Las Vegum – built by the famous Roman emperor. To what end? What is Getafix hiding?

• Asterix & Obelix XXXL – The Ram From Hibernia: Explore and evolve through the 6 worlds of this action-adventure game and use objects around you to unlock new passages and hidden bonuses, but that’s not all: you can also use them to knock out as many Romans in your path.
