MLB The Show 23 coming to Switch, Technical Test announced
Original (1/30): MLB The Show 23 is coming to Switch, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer San Diego Studio just announced. The game launches on March 28, 2023 – just in time for the start of the new baseball season.
Jazz Chisholm Jr., an all-star for the Miami Marlins, has been named cover athlete.
This is the second year in a row that MLB The Show will be appearing on Switch. Last year’s entry was the first time ever that the franchise released for a Nintendo’s console. MLB The Show started to become multiplatform in 2021 – something that was originally a surprise given how the series comes from PlayStation.
Here’s a trailer announcing MLB The Show 23 and Jazz Chisholm Jr. as the cover athlete:
Pre-orders for MLB The Show 23 start on February 6.
Update (2/2): MLB The Show 23 has now announced a Technical Test. This will be happening between February 15 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and February 21 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. The team will be using this “to stress test the servers, online match-making, cross-platform play, online co-op, and more in addition to gathering feedback on gameplay.” The test can be downloaded for free on the eShop later this month.
