Monolith discusses Disaster sequel, Baten Kaitos, more
Monolith Soft revealed a plethora of details regarding future games. As could be surmised based on sales charts, Disaster: Day of Crisis has not sold very well at all. Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami has stated that the game is “performing lower than expected.”
Still, even with less than stellar sales, Keiichi Ono, Monolith Soft director, isn’t ready to rule out a sequel, even if it were to appear on the DS. “…there were so many wonderful options [in the game]. We would like to see the possibility for them, if we have chance to develop the sequel…[The team] can consider [a DS version] if we have many requests.”
Last but not least, it was confirmed yet again today that Monolith Soft is indeed working on more titles for the Wii and surprisingly, the team is “willing to start developing Baten Kaitos.”
