Monster Hunter Stories Collection

March 12: When the original Monster Hunter Stories launches on Switch this summer, it’ll be available in physical form as part of the new Monster Hunter Stories Collection. However, there’s a bit of a catch.

Monster Hunter Stories 1 will be included on the cartridge. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Rings of Ruin, however, is relegated to a digital download. The second game did already previously receive a physical release, but some might be bummed to find out that it won’t be on the cartridge for the new collection.

If you want to play the second game, you won’t be able to do so immediately. You’ll need to redeem the voucher included in the box which can be redeemed on the eShop.

The first Monster Hunter Stories comes to Switch on June 14, 2024. You can pre-order the Monster Hunter Stories Collection at GameStop here. The retailer doesn’t have a release date, but we assume it’ll be out in time for the first title’s launch.

March 13: Pre-orders have now started up on Amazon. You can reserve it here.

April 4: For those interested in a standalone copy of Monster Hunter Stories 1 for Switch that comes in a cartridge, this will be available in Japan and Asia with English support. You can pre-order it here.

Nintendo Everything is a participant in the Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop affiliate programs. The website may receive a partial commission through orders placed with these retailers.
