August 23: MySims, EA’s franchise that was prominent during the Wii and DS era, could now be making a comeback on Switch.

Various listings for the game have been spotted in Europe. As shared by ResetEra user –R, Virtex and World of Games list the title, simply called MySims. Neither retailer provides any details, but one of the listings contain the boxart. It also seems that the game could be releasing on November 19, 2024, though that’s yet to be confirmed.

Here’s a look at the listings (note that the boxart is fan-mde):

MySims, a spin-off to The Sims series, started off on Wii and DS in 2007. The games let players build their own towns, socialize with the locals, decorate furniture, and more.

After the original MySims released, EA would go on to ship five more games in the series. MySims Kingdom, MySims Party, MySims Racing, MySims Agents, and MySims SkyHeroes all came to Wii and DS over the span in just a couple of years.

MySims has been dormant since 2010, but is the IP now about to make a comeback on Switch? If the listings are legitimate and the November release date is correct, EA should be making an announcement very soon.

Update: Kotaku claims that this is real, and that it’s “a remaster of MySims of sorts”. The site adds that it will be available later this year.

August 24: EA has now included MySims on its official website that lists games it has on Switch. If you scroll down the page here, you’ll see it as the very last one. The link goes to The Sims 4, but we assume that will be corrected once the official announcement is made.
