Niantic to improve Pokemon GO’s EX Raid Battles following player feedback
Good news for Pokemon GO players. Niantic has pledged to improve the game’s EX Raid Battles feature, with the company tweeting out the following today:
Trainers, thank you for your feedback on EX Raid Battles. We're working to improve the invitation system based on what we heard from you.

EX Raid Battles began in a beta state last month. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been received terribly well.
As Polygon notes, EX Raid Battles requires players to be regular participants in the co-op gym feature, they tend to be tied to specific locations, and some legendary Pokemon such as Mewtwo could only be obtained this way. The necessary Premium Raid pass invitations were sent out on a random basis, and some players who only won a single standard Raid battle won the Premium Raid pass whereas those who regularly battled high-level Pokemon at a variety of gyms would leave empty handed.
