Nintendo announces price increase for Switch 1 and more in the U.S.
Nintendo is raising the price of all Switch 1 hardware, the company just announced.
This will go into effect on August 3, 2025. Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and select Nintendo Switch accessories will be impacted.
Nintendo says that other products are seeing price adjustments as well. These include certain Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, select amiibo, and Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.
Note that the Nintendo Switch 2 system, physical and digital Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games, and Switch Online memberships will not be impacted. But Nintendo does note that “price adjustments may be necessary in the future.”
At the very end of June, similar news was shared for Canada. The United States is now the the second major country with Nintendo increasing prices for Switch 1. We’ll let you know if any additional news is confirmed for other regions.
Nintendo also made adjustments to various Switch 2 accessories in mid-April following tariffs. We covered that news in detail here.
