Nintendo says it has no set schedule for new Game Boy and GBA games on Switch Online

Nintendo has commented on the release schedule for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games on Nintendo Switch Online – of which there really isn’t one.

A Nintendo Direct this week revealed additions of both systems for the service. Anyone with an active Switch Online subscription can access Game Boy titles now. The same goes for Game Boy Advance, though you need to subscribe specifically to the Expansion Pack tier for that one.

Nintendo had this to say when Nintendo if fans should expect new Game Boy and GBA games each month on Nintendo Switch Online: “There is no set schedule for new releases, but each collection will continue to grow.”

Nintendo has already confirmed for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games for Switch Online in the future. For Game Boy, later additions include Zelda: Oracle of Ages / Seasons, Pokemon Trading Card Game, and Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble. Future titles for GBA include Metroid Fusion, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun.

As for what you can play right now, Game Boy has Tetris, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Gargoyle’s Quest, Game & Watch Gallery 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Metroid II: Return of Samus, Wario Land 3, and Kirby’s Dream Land. Game Boy Advance is offering Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, WarioWare Inc.: Mega Microgame$, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
